Rump

You may think you know what this would be about, but it is actually the true story of Rumpelstiltskin. It is full of magic, wisdom, hope, and fun.

This book is really about a boy named Rump or that's what he knows of it. Back in the village of the mountain where he and his grandma live, he works in the mines for gold to get food. When he finds he can spin straw into gold he realizes that the miller will only give him food if he gives the miller his gold. When the miller lies that his daughter can spin straw into gold, it's up to Rump to find his name and help out the miller's daughter before the king finds out the miller lied. Find out to see if Rump will succeed in is quest before it's to late

I would recommend it for 7+. It has some difficult words and some might struggle but it is hilarious! Teasing and good nature, trolls and witches. There also is some name calling but it's good for everyone. Challenges and bargains do stir up trouble but it's double trouble when neither of the characters can get out of it even if neither of them like the bargain.

I believe that the author Leisel Shurtliff has the magic to spin these words into gold. The genre for this book is fantasy and I don't think it really happened or ever will. That would be cool though! All those magic lovers will love this book. Thank you for checking this out. As I always say "Read on!"
